Engagement Manager

Job Location: Primarily work-from-home and client sites (USA, Canada). Occasional international travel may be required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

As an Engagement Manager, you will work closely with Aperium LLC leadership to deliver and grow our services. Client engagements will vary, assisting clients to identify, plan for and capture opportunities for business growth and operational excellence. Examples include market analysis, profitability analysis and other financial modeling, operational reviews and operating model design, business transformation project planning and post-acquisition integration. Key activities for the role:

Deliver client engagements

  • Manage delivery of all phases of client engagements under the direction of a partner
  • Take responsibility for analyzing and advising our clients on operational opportunities and complex organizational issues
  • Communicate effectively with senior-level clients to build momentum towards key decisions and adoption of change

Contribute to business development

  • Foster trust-based relationships with existing clients to set the foundation for repeat business
  • Contribute to successful proposal development and participate in pitch delivery
  • Develop relationships with potential / prospective partners and clients

Build Aperium LLC offerings and profile

  • Participate in firm development and decision-making 
  • Serve as thought partner and contribute to researching, developing and improving proprietary content, methodology and tools
  • Create external awareness of Aperium LLC expertise and experience through social media, academia or industry networks

Develop the firm

  • Work closely with partners to understand the market and key client needs, support growth planning and support management activities
  • Lead, mentor and coach junior team members in career development
  • Participate in recruitment and retention activities

DESIRED PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university; advanced degree or MBA is preferred   
  • 4-5 years of management consulting experience with a top-tier firm (known brand or boutique) 
  • Solid functional business knowledge, including but not limited to growth strategy, operating model analysis and design, organizational governance and performance management, project management
  • Proven record of high performance, leadership and substantial achievements in past positions, especially in high intensity environments
  • Experience working with executive teams to elaborate company vision and strategic direction 
  • Outstanding quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate analysis into recommendations with high standards for quality
  • Ability to structure and communicate complex ideas clearly and simply
  • Proven as a relationship builder, with demonstrated ability to establish credibility and build trust with a wide range of professionals across all organizational levels 
  • Ability to learn quickly and autonomously, and apply experience and insights to create structure in ambiguous circumstances
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client meetings and internal team-building events – frequency and intensity will vary
  • Work authorization in either the United States or Canada
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus
